Gadi Ben-Dov was born in the U.S., raised in a Kibbutz in the Galilee and now lives in the center of Israel. Gadi became a licensed tour guide after finishing his IDF service as an officer and traveling the world. His love of the land and especially the people of Israel, have given him insights into this country that he shares with every visitor.
Sunday, Day 1: The Negev (Southern Israel) — Let’s start where it all began...from leaving Egypt to Mt. Sinai. Follow the history of our people and get to see a kibbutz, Massada, Be’er Sheva and end the day in Eilat underwater!
Monday, Day 2: The Western Galilee (Northern Israel) — Travel to Caesarea visiting the ancient Roman ruins and stopping to see archaeological excavations of the city of Tsippori where rabbis in the first century once lived. End with visits to the modern city of Haifa and the grottos of Rosh HaNikra.
Tuesday, Day 3: The Eastern Galilee — Tour the Kabbalistic city of Tsefat. Stop at Mt. Ben Tal on the Golan Heights and learn about Eli Cohen. Continue onto Tel Hai to see a replica of the first Temple. Refresh yourselves on a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.
Wednesday, Day 4: Jaffa and Tel Aviv — Visit the ancient port of Jaffa and hear about Jonah from Biblical times. Leave Jaffa to visit Tel Aviv, the city where technology abounds with bustling streets and a modern port and where history was made at Independence Hall when in 1948, the State of Israel was declared.
Thursday, Day 5: Jerusalem — Join us as we climb the hills to the capital city of Yerushalayim. No trip is complete without a visit to the Kotel, the Western Wall and the sites of the Old City. Take the famous Tunnel Tour under the Temple Mount. Visit the marketplace (Shuk) at Machaneh Yehudah to virtually pick up a snack or souvenir. Stop to view the Chagall Windows at Hadassah Hospital. Complete our journey at the K’nesset, Israel’s parliament, and learn more about the government of Israel today.
