Mission Statement
EHNTJC is a membership-driven Conservative and Reconstuctionist synagogue open in thought, embracing a variety of traditions, that provides a spiritual home of Jewish living, learning and loving, for Jewish families of all backgrounds and experiences.
From Rabbi Weill
EHNTJC is a unique Conservative and Reconstuctionist synagogue that strives to be a "big tent," open to all who seek authentic and meaningful Jewish experiences, from prayer to life cycle celebrations, from learning to social action.
Our members represent a broad range of Jewish backgrounds and orientations, coming from Skokie and Evanston, Rogers Park and Hyde Park, all over Chicago and the North Shore. I am not unbiased in this regard, but I do believe we are among the warmest and most welcoming congregations in the area.
If you are interested in learning more, please be in touch. I'd be more than happy to speak with you.
