BEGINNING ADULT HEBREW

Mondays at 7:30 PM

Taught by Cantor Gale

If you would like to learn to read and understand Hebrew, this class is for you. Beginning with a careful introduction/review of Hebrew letters and vowels, participants will learn how to read and understand Hebrew, with emphasis on understanding of the language as used in Jewish life, ritual, study, and tradition. Taught by Cantor Gale.

LEARN TO CHANT TORAH

Dates and times TBD

Taught by Cantor Gale

Learn the trop, or musical notation for chanting Torah. By the end of the class, you will be able to chant from the Torah, and participate in the sacred tradition of “leyning” or chanting from Torah during services. Basic ability to read/vocalize Hebrew required.

 

SHIREINU/OUR SONG – EHNTJC’S MEMBER CHOIR

Sundays, 10:30-11:30

Love to sing? Join EHNTJC’s volunteer choir, SHIRIENU. No requirement to read Hebrew or music necessary. We meet on Sundays from 10:30-11:30.
