Amy Claver

The future of Judaism is secure! We started off the new year strong with William Gorstein being called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on 6 October. All of us who know William know he is Mr. Personality—thoughtful, funny, generous, kind and always so stylish. It was wonderful to see him lead the service where all of these traits were evident as he led us in davening and shared an impressive d’var on B’reishit. Our school is almost 20 students strong and includes one of our largest Lehrhaus classes we have had in a few years, 12 including parents.

Please join us each Saturday for services and also add your voice to ours at our monthly fun-filled Koleinu (Our voice) Shabbat service on Friday evenings:

  • Friday, 2 November at 7pm
  • Friday, 14 December at 7pm

And please note these days where school will not be in session:

  • 24 November (Thanksgiving break)
  • 22 Dec-1 Jan (Winter break)

Parents, thank you for entrusting your children to our school. Each child is as bright as a diamond.

Amy Claver is the chair of the Religious Education committee at Ezra Habonim, the Niles Township Jewish Congregation and the mother of two students.
