Dear Friends,
This Saturday morning we will celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Drs. George and Veronika Urban! The Urbans have been good friends and dedicated members of EHNT for many years. I am so pleased they are celebrating their simcha in the midst of our synagogue family.
Veronika and George came to America from Slovakia. So, fittingly, we will also hear on Saturday morning from a young leader of the Slovakian Jewish community, Dr. Tomas Stern. Dr. Stern will discuss that community’s past, present, and future. It will be a fascinating report about our sisters and brothers 4,700 miles away. Many thanks to Joel Levin who arranged this presentation. Joel has brought speakers to EHNT from Ukraine and Poland as well.
