"The Joy of Music"

Dear Friends,
"Somewhere there's music. How faint the tune." Well, that somewhere is here at EHNT, and the tune is not so faint! We are making and enjoying music all the time.
Last Friday night, more than 100 congregants enjoyed a Shabbat dinner with a sing-along by our Shireinu choir, followed by a Koleinu service, featuring folk-rock standards by America, Crosby Stills, Nash & Young, Bob Dylan and others.
Some of our music takes more traditional forms too, like Cantor Gale's new class on chanting Torah and haftarah.
There's more! On June 9, 4 - 6 pm, The Night Owls will play on EHNT's stage for a Jewish Free Loan Chicago event. (JFLC is renting our space to hold their benefit. It offer zero-interest loans to people of all backgrounds.) Fellow congregant Brian Jablo and I are in The Night Owls. All are welcome. Information is available on the Jewish Free Loan Chicago website.
Music provides uplift for our souls. Enjoy it here at EHNT!
